Challenge / Goal
Buildings are identified where energy optimizations can be implemented through a series of site assessments. Analysis of the output from the site assessments show which buildings can be optimized through improvements to operational practices and/or through the installation of energy control devices. This "Building Benchmark Assessment" helps to find the buildings where improvements have the most impact.
Solution
This module identifies buildings where energy optimisations can be implemented through a series of site assessments. Analysis of the output from the site assessments dentifies which buildings can be optimised through improvements to operational practices and/or through the installation of energy control devices. The planning, preparation and implementation of any agreed optimisation are realized as part of this module. Additionally, the module developed and ran campaigns targeted at building occupants to encourage changes in consumption behavior, which in turn could lead to more efficient use of energy.
Energy optimisation could be achieved by energy control devices and efficient use of energy through behaviour change of building occupants. Standardising BMS application to support future DSR integration whilst delivering CO2 and operating cost reduction.
Citizen participation
Passive: limited public interaction, mainly building managers but also occupants.
